At Home With Steph @ohsorented
Hey! Can you tell us a bit more about yourself?
My name is Steph – I’m from London UK and I run the account @ohsorented on Instagram where I share content about all things home related.
Your beautiful home gives us all the interior inspiration! Who or what inspires you?
Pastels colours and fun shapes are definitely the focus of my interiors. I get a lot of inspiration from Wes Anderson films. And often spend a lot of time scrolling through Pinterest. I like to create dream-like spaces, with every single item brining joy.
Your home is bursting with colour. How do you brighten up a gloomy day?
The more colour the better! Surrounding myself with joyful décor really helps boost my mood. When it’s a gloomy day I always start by making a matcha latte, treating myself to my favourite foods, lighting candles and watching a food film/series.
Other than in your apartment, when and where else do you feel the most at home?
I love spending lots of time in cosy cafes. There’s something about enjoying a hot drink and people-watching that brings me so much comfort. I could spend my whole day in a café!
You’ve shown your followers some creative drinks lately… How are you making your coffee right now?
A shot of espresso, steamed oat milk with a splash of hazelnut syrup. Delicious!
Let’s get practical. Apartment living requires creative solutions to storage, decoration and making a home your own … How do you stir things up in a small space?
When decorating a small space, I think it’s really important to make sure every item has a purpose. Multi-use furniture is a great way to save space – like a bed with storage drawers. Pick items that bring you joy and that you’d want to look at every single day. Small accessories, like vases, candles and kitchenware, can make such a big difference – they are often affordable and easy to switch-up when you want a change.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
As I recently bought my apartment, I’m looking forward to working on lots of interior projects. My bathroom is at the top of my list as I haven’t been able to do much with it since renting. I am also ready to get the paint out and start adding colour to the walls!
Finally… What’s your favourite spot in your home?
I think the living space is definitely my favourite. It’s where I spend the most time and it’s filled with so many cute items that just make me so happy.
