Hi Anne-Fleur, welcome to the Lepelclub journal. We’re so excited to begin! First thing’s first, can you tell us a little more about yourself?
So happy to be here! I’m 33, live in Amsterdam, and am passionate about anything that adds beauty and aesthetics to the world—whether it’s art, music, interior design, or jewelry. That’s why I love my job: I run my own jewelry brand, Oro Jewels, which I founded with my two sisters.

Where did the inspiration for ORO Jewels come from?
Oro started as a collection of vintage jewelry. My sisters and I have a passion for finding unique vintage treasures. On a holiday we saw so many beautiful pieces that deserved a second life. Later, we expanded to include our own sustainable collection because we love combining the charm of the old with the freshness of the new.

What aspect of designing jewelry do you enjoy the most? Where do you draw your inspiration from?
What I love most is designing pieces with the thought that they’ll be cherished daily and eventually passed down to future generations. I aim to create timeless designs with a bold, unexpected edge. My inspiration flows from art, architectural shapes, and, most of all, our stylish and inspiring customers.

What is the best part of working with your siblings?
We know each other inside out. Sometimes, just a single glance is all it takes for us to burst into laughter or understand exactly what the other is thinking.

What is your go-to coffee to start off the day on the right foot?
My go-to is an oat cappuccino with a little less milk. Preferably at my favorite coffee place in Amsterdam’s Old-West, where I can watch the world go by and maybe have a quick chat with a stranger.

What’s been the most challenging part of starting your own business, and what’s been the most rewarding?
The most rewarding part is bringing my creative vision to life through our products and imagery. I also love to collaborate with other creatives. The biggest challenge? Staying ready for the unexpected challenges of each new growth phase.

And finally, how do you plan on stirring things up in the future?
We have so many exciting plans for Oro Jewels—from collaborations and pop-up events at stunning locations to launching new product lines. Our mission is to help people celebrate their milestones with timeless, sustainable, and elegant pieces. I’m excited to see our journey grow and to welcome an even larger community along the way.
